Carter T. Funk was promoted to v.p.-business and operations services at Consolidated Natural Gas Co. He moves up from v.p.-asset acquisition and resource development at CNG Energy Services.

Marian M. Davenport was promoted to v.p., general counsel, and secretary for Destec Energy, Inc. She replaces Stephen R. Wright, who retired.

Central and South West Corp. has elected Jim Ellis, chairman and CEO of SEEBOARD plc, to its board of directors. SEEBOARD is one of 12 regional electricity companies in the United Kingdom, and was expected to be acquired by Central and South West this month.

Vic Parrish and William H. Barley have been promoted by the Washington Public Power Supply System. Parrish, formerly v.p.-nuclear operations, is now managing director. Barley is the new director of quality.

Three American Electric Power executives were elected officers of the

company's energy transmission and distribution group: Joseph H. Vipperman, executive v.p.-energy delivery; Carl A. Erikson, v.p.-energy distribution; Peter Splawnyk, v.p.-energy transmission.

Laclede Gas Co. shareholders elected Richard E. Beumer, CEO of Sverdrup Corp., to the board of directors. The board also elected Ronald L. Krutzman corporate treasurer and assistant secretary. Krutzman replaces Vernon O. Steinberg.
