THE Oregon Public Utility Commission named Bill Warren director of its utility program. Warren will replace Mike Kane, who is retiring. Currently, Warren serves as administrator of the electric and natural gas division of the utility program.
Michael J. Mujadin was named executive vice president of Nitrotec Corp. and president of Nitrotec's wholly owned subsidiary Nitrotec Energy Corp. Previously, Mujadin was executive vice president of Coastal Corp.'s ANR Storage Co.
Consolidated Natural Gas Co. elected Raymond E. Galvin to its board of directors. Galvin retired in 1997 as president of Chevron U.S.A. Production Co. and as a director and vice president of Chevron Corp.
Andrew D. Lundquist, chief of staff for Sen. Frank Murkowski's (R-Alaska) personal office, was appointed staff director of the Energy and Natural Resources Committee. David Garman will fill the vacancy left by Lundquist.
Pam Hacker, operations manager of Texas Utilities' southern region, was elected president of the Texas Underground Facility Notification Corp.'s board of directors.
New York Power Authority Chairman and CEO C.D. "Rapp" Rappleyea began a one-year term as chairman of the executive committee of the New York Power Pool.
FERC Chairman James J. Hoecker named Katie Hirning to the newly created position of chief information officer of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. Hoecker also named Carol L. Sampson, a senior employee at the Department of the Interior, to head the Office of Hydropower Licensing at the Commission.
Robert E. Busch was appointed senior vice president of finance and CFO of Public Service Electric & Gas. Busch previously was president of Northeast Utilities' Energy Resources Group.
Rochester Gas & Electric Corp. named Michael J. Bovalino president and CEO of Energetix, its subsidiary. Before joining RG&E in January 1997, Bovalino was a vice president with Plum Street Enterprises.
Marvin S. Fertel was elected senior vice president of nuclear infrastrcture, support and international programs at the Nuclear Energy Institute.
The Arizona Corporation Commissioners appointed Morris H. Wolff as director of its utilities division.
Hubert W. Pipkin was elected assistant vice president and controller for Coastal Corp.'s ANR Pipeline Co.
Western Water Co. Director of Field Operations Roger S. Faubel was promoted to vice president, director of public affairs. Fred Cardenas will leave the Water Replenishment District of Southern California to become a project manager for Western Water.
