M. Carol Fox has been named director of inside sales and marketer services for Columbia Gas of Ohio. Gregory Slone has been named director of outside sales. Fox, the company's former director of marketer and key transporter services, joined Columbia in 1983. Slone joined in 1977, and was most recently director of wholesale sales.

Ted Lyons, founder and president of H.T. Lyons Inc., a subsidiary of PPL Corp., is stepping down from his position as president. Lyons will continue to be involved in the business in a community relations and business development role. Joe Burns, president of Burns Mechanical Inc., another PPL subsidiary, has replaced Lyons as president of H.T. Lyons.

The Midwest Independent Transmission System Operator has named John R. Catlin director of client relations. Catlin served the past 17 years with the Wabash Valley Power Association, where he most recently was manager of power system operations.

The New York Independent System Operator has appointed Robert E. Fernandez as its general counsel. Prior to joining the New York ISO, Fernandez was vice president and chief regulatory counsel of Sithe Energies Inc.
