Peabody Energy named Charles "Chuck" Burggraf group executive of Colorado operations, responsible for Twentymile Coal Co.'s Twentymile Mine near Oak Creek and development of additional coal reserves in Colorado. Burggraf most recently served as operations manager of the Twentymile Mine.
Wisconsin Public Service promoted Charlie Schrock and Larry Borgard . Schrock is now president and COO of operations; Borgard becomes president and COO of energy delivery.
Wisconsin Energy Corp. appointed Anne Klisurich vice president and corporate secretary for We Energies, one of the company's utility subsidiaries. Klisurich succeeds Kristine Rappe , who was named senior vice president and chief administrative officer in May 2004.
The Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission (PUC) appointed Johnnie Simms director of the Office of Trial Staff (OTS). Simms has served as acting director since Jan. 26, 2004, replacing director Charles F. Hoffman .
Allegheny Energy Inc. hired Edward Dudzinski as its vice president of human resources. Dudzinski spent 14 years with DuPont in various human resources positions. Prior to DuPont, he was with Consolidation Coal Co. for 15 years.
The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) appointed Rollie Wilson the commission's first tribal liaison, responsible for establishing effective relationships with tribal governments before and during commission proceedings, ensuring that tribal concerns are timely and adequately addressed, providing guidance to commission staff on tribal governments and culture, and informing tribes of commission statutes and processes. Prior to joining the commission, Mr. Wilson served as an attorney for the Office of the Solicitor at the U.S. Department of the Interior.
FERC also appointed William J. Cowan deputy chief administrative law judge. Cowan will assist chief administrative law judge Curtis Wagner Jr. with the administrative and managerial duties of the Office of Administrative Law Judges and serve as head of the office in the absence of the chief judge. Cowan joined FERC as an administrative law judge in early 1997.
Oglethorpe Power Corp. appointed Elizabeth "Betsy" Higgins CFO. The company also named Mark Chesla vice president and controller, and Jami G. Reusch vice president, human resources. Higgins previously served as senior vice president and group executive, finance and planning. Chesla served as controller of the organization on a contract basis for two years prior to being named to the permanent position. Reusch previously served as Oglethorpe Power's director of human resources.
