Vicky Bailey, president of PSI Energy and a former FERC commissioner, has been elected to the Gas Industry Standards Board to represent the end-user segment.
AGL Resources Inc. has appointed Jerry Wackerhagen chief information officer/vice president, information services and technology. Prior to joining AGL in October, Wackerhagen was a principal at IBM.
Chauncey Starr, EPRI's president emeritus, has received the American Physical Society's George E. Pake Prize "for visionary leadership and physics contributing to the establishment of a worldwide nuclear power industry for peaceful purposes." Starr is the founding president of EPRI.
Oglethorpe Power Corp. has named Jeffrey D. Tranen to its board, where he will be one of four outside directors. Tranen has nearly 30 years of experience in the electric utility industry.
A. Wayne Elkins has received the National Hydropower Association's Kenneth Henwood Award, the industry's highest honor. Elkins is manager of hydro engineering and a 31-year veteran of the Southern Co.
Thomas V. Whiteside Jr., vice president and Diven Award recipient, has retired from Long Island Water Corp. after 47 years with the company.
GRI Canada has named Vini Chari to direct all activities at its new Calgary office. The new sales and operations manager previously was director of engineering at Smith International Canada Ltd.
Dominion Resources Inc. has made several appointments in line with its integration with Consolidated Natural Gas Co. Thomas F. Farrell II was named chief executive officer, and James P. O'Hanlon was named president and COO of Dominion Energy. Edgar M. Roach Jr. was named CEO and Robert E. Rigsby became president and COO of Dominion Delivery. H. Patrick Riley was appointed CEO of Dominion Exploration & Production. James L. Trueheart will head Dominion Resources Services Inc.
South Jersey Industries has made several promotions: Douglas W. LeJambre was promoted to general manager, commercial and industrial sales; John R. Spurlock was named manager, industrial accounts; Tammy Garrison was promoted to energy services analyst; and Kathleen M. McGee was named supervisor, administrative services. Lori A. Capaccio became office manager for SJI's subsidiary, South Jersey Energy Co.
Dr. George Campbell Jr. was elected to the board of Consolidated Edison. Campbell is president and CEO of the National Action Council for Minorities in Engineering Inc.

Nashville Electric Service has named Herb DeBerry director of human resources, and Decosta Jenkins senior vice president and chief financial officer. DeBerry previously was HR manager at NES, and Jenkins was vice president of planning, budget and finance/treasurer at NES.
