Elizabeth A. Moler, chair of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, named Lawrence Brenner and Jerry M. Hermele administrative law judges for the FERC. Brenner was an ALJ for the Department of Labor. Before that he was an administrative judge at the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission. Hermele was an ALJ for the Social Security Administration in Pittsburgh.
