New Positions:

William O. Ball moved to the role of senior vice president of transmission planning and operations for Southern Co. He had been Southern's vice president of transmission planning, policy, and support services since March of 2002.

The Southwest Power Pool (SPP) board of directors chose Nicholas A. Brown as the organization's president and CEO. Brown has been with SPP for 18 years, most recently as senior vice president and corporate secretary.

Avista Corp. appointed Michael L. Noel to its board of directors. Noel was an executive with Edison International for 30 years.

Cinergy appointed Lynn J. Good vice president and controller of the company. Good joined Cinergy in 2003 from the Cincinnati office of Deloitte & Touche. Also at Cinergy, Bradley C. Arnett was named director of investor relations. He joined Cinergy's legal department in 1994.

Alliant Energy Corp. appointed Kim Zuhlke vice president of new energy resources. Zuhlke moves from her role as Alliant's executive vice president of generation and president of the company's Wisconsin utility subsidiary. The board of directors at Alliant also named William D. Harvey as president and COO. Harvey is president of Alliant Energy-Wisconsin Power & Light Co. and executive vice president of generation for Alliant.

Williams named Travis Campbell treasurer of the company, adding to his ongoing role as vice president of investor relations and corporate communications for Williams. He has been with the company since 1976.
