EL PASO Energy Corp. named C. Dana Rice vice president and treasurer. Previously, Rice served as vice president of finance for Tennessee Gas Pipeline Co.

Duke Energy Power Services LLC named William F. Hall vice president and general manager of California operations. Previously, Hall was the regional manager for Duke Power's 2,700-megawatt Allen, Riverbend and Lincoln power plants in North Carolina.

Linda S. Lennox, who joined NUI Corp. in February 1997 as director of corporate communications and investor relations, was promoted to assistant vice president of the department. Previously, Lennox was the director of investor relations for Providence Energy Corp. Robert Clancy, who has held the position of assistant vice president since 1994, was promoted to vice president of financial planning and analysis at Elizabethtown Gas Co., a division of NUI Corp.

David Warren, deputy treasurer for the state of Connecticut, was hired by Long Island Power Authority as CFO.

Andreas Renschler, president of Mercedes-Benz U.S. International, was elected to Alabama Power Co.'s board of directors. The board also elected Jacque Shaia vice president. Shaia serves as president of the Alabama Power Foundation.

Richard D. Kinder, chairman and CEO of Kinder Morgan Energy Partners LP, was elected to the KN Energy board of directors.

Martin H. Zolkoski, senior vice president of Koch Energy Services Co., was elected chairman of the National Energy Services Association. Zolkoski succeeds Robert E. Adrian, who will remain on the board of directors.

AEP Resources named Thomas S. Jobes vice president, corporate development.

Robert Murphy joins Remington Oil and Gas Corp. as vice president of exploration. Most recently, Murphy served as director and vice president of exploration for Cairn Energy USA Inc.

President and CEO Girard F. Anderson will assume the duties of chairman of the board of TECO Energy.

Susan McLain was promoted to vice president of corporate performance for Puget Sound Energy. Previously, McLain was the director of planning and work practices.

Stan Horton, chairman and CEO of Enron Gas Pipeline Group, was elected second vice chairman and treasurer of the Gas Industry Standards Board. Terrence E. Ciliske, president and CEO of PG&E Gas Transmission, was named chairman of GISB, and James Templeton, principal of Comprehensive Energy Services, was named vice chairman.
