Richard L. Rudman has been named to the new position of executive vice president at the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI). Rudman joined EPRI in 1973, and was named COO in 1996.
The National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners (NARUC) announced the election of Dr. Edward H. Salmon to serve as president of NARUC's Commissioners Emeritus. Salmon served six years as a state utility regulator and three years as president of the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities.
Commissioner Lila A. Jaber of the Florida Public Service Commission was elected as the next chairman of the PSC by her fellow commissioners, succeeding E. Leon Jacobs Jr. , who had served as chairman since December 2000.
Catamount Energy Corp. announced that Lisa M. Robare has been named to the position of vice president, controller. Before joining Catamount, Robare was director of corporate accounting for USGen New England Inc., the Boston regional office of PG&E Generating.
Janine McArdle was named managing director of Aquila Europe, the European energy trading, wholesaling, and risk management organization of Aquila Inc. Based in London, McArdle has more than two decades of experience in the energy industry. She joined Aquila in 1993. She succeeds Jeff Michnowski , who is returning to the United States in a new position as UtiliCorp vice president and Aquila senior vice president of trading risk management. Brock Shealy , currently senior vice president for Aquila's human resources, has been named to the new position of director, administration for Aquila Europe. He will also be based in London. Keith Stamm has become president and COO for the newly formed Global Networks Group of UtiliCorp, leaving his current post as CEO of UtiliCorp's Aquila Inc. subsidiary. Robert K. Green , UtiliCorp's president and COO, will now serve as president and CEO of UtiliCorp effective January 2002. Richard C. Green will take on the duties of chairman. Heidi Hutter , CEO and a principal of The Black Diamond Group LLC, will serve on the UtiliCorp board of directors, increasing board membership to 10 directors.
