Michael German, longtime senior v.p. of the American Gas Association, joined New York State Electric & Gas Corp. as senior v.p., gas business unit. German succeeds Russell Fleming, Jr., who died last August after a long illness.
Stephen P. Reynolds, president and CEO of Pacific Gas Transmission Co., was elected chairman of the INGAA Foundation, which sponsors research on ways to advance the use of natural gas. John R. Phillips, senior v.p. of Berg Steel Pipe Corp., was elected vice chairman.
Commonwealth Edison Co. hired Jean-Pierre Mercier as v.p., operations and maintenance support, for the company's nuclear division. Mercier previously was v.p., engineering, with lectricit‚ de France.
LG&E Power Inc. appointed Scott A. Noll to the new position of senior v.p., project management. He will be responsible for projects in the western United States.
Joe Burn was named director of engineering for Washington Public Power Supply System. He is responsible for the system's nuclear fuel management.
James DeLong was named marketing director for Columbia Energy Services Corp., a natural gas marketing subsidiary of Columbia Gas System. t
