As part of its Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) Commitment to Action, Enphase Energy has partnered with Beacon Power Services to provide a clean and reliable energy alternative in Abuja, Nigeria, through piloting a solar energy microgrid system. The Enphase project is an effort to prove the scalability of a solar microgrid system in a country where traditional forms of electricity are unreliable and harmful to the environment. The microgrid system’s use of microinverter technology, designed and provided by Enphase, will allow local non-specialist electricians and laborers to install and maintain all aspects of the system. Beacon will manage the local training and installation of the system, as well as provide ongoing support for the project.
