For the PUF team, one of our favorite events that we attend annually is the Veterans in Energy Forum, hosted this October at NRECA headquarters in Arlington, Virginia. Aside from hearing throughout the day the friendly inter-service rivalry — oorah vs. hooah vs. hooyah — everyone is treated to the thinking of several industry leaders on everything from today's energy challenges to the barriers and accomplishments of integrating more of our great military veterans into the energy industries. Utilities and other energy companies are a real good fit for veterans, for their post-service careers, and veterans are a perfect fit for energy companies because veterans offer a service ethic, teamwork, discipline and a can-do attitude. Oorah. Hooah. Hooyah.
