PUF gathered a number of great minds from the Grid Evolution Summit and asked them why they were there, and how innovation is changing the utility industry. 

 

PUF: You came across the country to the SEPA Grid Evolution Summit. What made you come here and participate?

Arlen Orchard: Sacramento Municipal Utility District has been involved with SEPA for a number of years now. One of my executives sits on the SEPA board, and we wouldn't commit that value of time and resources unless we didn't think there were real benefits.

I've been to several over the years, sometimes as a participant, as a speaker, and sometimes just to listen and network. But, the two aspects that I value most is the intersection of utility and technology companies.
