The U.S. portion of the Electrification Symposia Series concluded in San Antonio, Texas, on October two to three, with plenaries, panels, speakers, and two breakout agenda tracks focused on The Electrification Experience. Paula Gold-Williams, CEO of CPS Energy was presenting sponsor and symposium co-host. Additional symposium sponsors were Austin Energy, CenterPoint Energy, and Entergy. In his keynote address, Ernest Moniz, former U.S. Secretary of Energy, and now CEO of the non-profit Energy Futures Initiative (EFI), recommended addressing deep decarbonization using the broadest toolset possible via continued technology innovation.
