They wrestled with the weighty topic of how do Commissioners, companies, and Consumer Advocates ensure a balance of customer assistance and company stability in order to avoid disaster?

Incoming MACRUC President and Chair of the District of Columbia Public Service Commission Willie Phillips: In the District of Columbia and many jurisdictions, we have progressive decarbonization and global climate groups. How do we move forward in this pandemic? How do we move forward on these goals and balance the interest of this important policy goal — if you have it as important — and the needs of consumers?

FCC and South Carolina PSC Commissioner Emeritus Mignon Clyburn: That's an interesting question, because this is the only environment we have. That's a reality.
