The National Association of State Utility Consumer Advocates, NASUCA, kicked off its 2020 Virtual Annual Meeting in cyberspace in November. It coincided with NARUC's annual meeting, also held online. Everyone with an interest in looking out for the consumer was there with NASUCA virtually. The PUF team was there too. With NASUCA President and West Virginia Consumer Advocate Jackie Robinson at the helm, and guided by NASUCA Executive Director David Springe, the conference was a great success. We know that is a relief for many, as 2020 has proven to be a tough year, beginning with a pandemic, continuing with wildfires and vicious storms causing financial distress for many. A key takeaway is that Consumer Advocates are out there more determined than ever to ensure consumer representation in the regulatory process. Here are some highlights from that meeting.
