With NYPA's VISION2030 to decarbonize and transform itself set forth in that ambitious plan explained by CEO Gil Quiniones in prior pages, NYPA is fortunate to have brilliant and hardworking stars. PUF talked to these humble members of the NYPA workforce, a diverse group of strategic thinkers leading the way to plan and implement VISION2030 and beyond.

PUF's Steve Mitnick: What do you do at NYPA?

Daniella Piper: I have two roles at NYPA. One of them is Chief of Staff. In that role, I primarily work with Gil Quiniones, our CEO, supporting him in ensuring that the organization and Executive Management Committee are aligned in all priorities and meeting our obligations to the Board of Trustees. I also manage the Executive Office administrative team to ensure the smooth functioning of the office and the compelling, timely communication of our strategy and priorities to internal and external stakeholders.

My other role is leading the Digital Transformation Office, which supports the organization in achieving its goal to become the first end-to-end utility by leveraging connectivity, big data, and analytics to drive actionable business insight, enabling NYPA to better serve its customers.

Our new VISION2030 strategy specifically recognizes the role that technology and innovation play in achieving the State's decarbonization goals.
