The Edison Electric Institute is well known as the association that represents U.S. investor-owned electric companies. Perhaps not as well-known is EEI International Programs, which serves more than sixty-five members with operations spanning more than ninety countries around the world and is growing.

With the world seemingly getting smaller every day, and energy politics in the middle of everything, it's important that EEI International Programs be more well-known for providing the global electric power industry with access to an international network of industry expertise. The Public Utilities Fortnightly team realizes the importance of international cooperation in the energy and utilities industry and will be bringing more of what EEI International Programs is providing, with a column dedicated to those efforts.
