It's a big world with lots to be discovered in all kinds of places. The Smart Electric Power Alliance believes it is important to learn from what is going on in the energy and utilities industry in other countries, and so travels from time to time to see it all firsthand.

SEPA and a select group of energy executives recently returned from a mission to Australia, with fresh insights gained into how high levels of distributed, rooftop solar have changed the energy landscape. There are many lessons to be learned from the travel into the distributed energy revolution happening down under.

Public Utilities Fortnightly discussed the impacts of the transition into a more distributed energy future as seen in Australia and how that translate to the U.S., with SEPA CEO Sheri Givens and PPL Electric Utilities' VP for Distribution Sal Salet. Enjoy the journey.
