This End of Day Discussion covered Digital, AI, and Planning with Eversource VP System Planning Digaunto Chatterjee, GE Vernova Chief Product Officer/Grid Software Sean Moser, and Entergy VP Business Data & Insights Andy Quick.
 

Sean Moser: What do you think about what you've heard today, and what jumped out at you?

Digaunto Chatterjee: A lot is being asked of utilities and at a very fast pace. The internal structures and organizational design of utilities inherently aren't designed to move fast.

We have quite a few silos because of good reason, specialization in different areas. Someone in utilities needs to step back and reassess. Are we even organized or designed correctly to be able to reach outcomes?

Andy Quick: What stood out for me was the beginning of an autonomous beginning. Because the key to innovation is reimagining how work happens and how we approach things.
