Innovators and superstars of the energy and utilities industry attended the Fortnightly Top Innovators 2023 conference at the historic Willard Hotel in Washington, D.C. to learn, trade ideas, and network. This session, GTI Energy as a Factory of Innovation, was led by Washington Gas SVP Strategy & Innovation Mallik Angalakudati and GTI Energy VP Zero Emission Systems Erin Blanton.

 

PUF's Steve Mitnick: Is there something going on at GTI Energy that is going to be impactful?

Erin Blanton: We've started putting a lot of value on collaboration with our industry partners, which are key, and well beyond. 

A lot of innovation is not just about the technologies and the people behind them, it's also about consensus from across sectors on what we're collectively trying to achieve. We started to understand that having collaborations that bring in academics, NGOs, investors, and a wide variety of participants can help alleviate polarization.
