North Dakota Commissioner Julie Fedorchak ascended to the Presidency of NARUC in November at the Annual Meeting in La Quinta, California. 2023 also marks her decade on the North Dakota Public Service Commission, so she has much to celebrate.

That celebration might be short, however, as much work awaits in the top position at an Association faced with challenging times in a changing energy and utilities industry. Fedorchak has the background to guide NARUC, as she serves on EPRI's advisory board, and has held numerous leadership roles, including president of the Organization of MISO States, vice-chair of the NARUC Gas Committee, and vice president of GTI Energy's advisory board.

As this new NARUC President shines a spotlight on her theme of Focused on the Future: State Regulators Leading the Way through challenging issues, she will be backed up by two dynamos. First Vice President Tricia Pridemore of Georgia and Second Vice President Ann Rendahl of Washington.

President Julie Fedorchak: I've been on the North Dakota Commission for ten years now. The work has always been fast paced.
