Caroline Choi is an EVP at Southern California Edison. Jeff Guldner is the recently retired CEO of Arizona Public Service. Melissa Washington, Linda Ferrone, Peter Muhoro and Elaina Ball are C-officers at Commonwealth Edison, Orlando Utilities Commission, Rappahannock Electric Co-op and CPS Energy. Sal Salet is a VP at PPL. They were among the many electric utility leaders at SEPA’s third annual Energy Evolution Summit last month.

The Power Player Awards were also celebrated there. PPL won the Power Player Award for resilience, for its predictive failure project. Arizona Public Service won for emerging technology, for its cool rewards program. Former California Energy Commissioner Patricia Monahan won for transportation electrification, for leading that state’s top EV infrastructure initiative. Commonwealth Edison won for policy, for its execution of new requirements after passage of 2021 legislation in Illinois. Ampt won for energy storage, for a direct-to-battery system implemented in Australia. And EnergyHub, National Grid, Eversource, Cape Light Compact, Rhode Island Energy and Unitil won for energy equity, for forming a virtual power plant with broad participation.
