The NARUC Winter Policy Summit in Washington, D.C. is the place to be in February, where state regulators host attendees from all facets of the energy and utilities arena. NARUC meetings recently have had record breaking turnout, and this one will be humming with activity.

NARUC President Ann Rendahl will be leading the conference, along with First Vice President Jehmal Hudson and Second Vice President Katie Sieben. They are from Washington, Virginia, and Minnesota respectively. They make up part of the Executive Committee.

There are ten other Committees plus Subcommittees and Staff Subcommittees, where much of the important work at NARUC gets done. The Committees ultimately produce resolutions, which are the basis for NARUC’s advocacy activities.

PUF’s Paul Kjellander discussed what regulators will find at NARUC in February with President Rendahl and the Chairs of four Committees: Committee on Water with New Jersey Commissioner Michael Bange, Committee on Gas with Pennsylvania Chair Steve DeFrank, Committee on Electricity with Idaho Chair John Hammond, and Committee on Energy Resources and the Environment with Florida Commissioner Mike La Rosa.
