Energy Scenes
The 2026 Veterans in Energy Leadership Forum was held at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center at National Harbor, Maryland from February 17-19. There was an exhibit hall, panels, networking receptions, and camaraderie in celebration of U.S. veterans and those veterans in the energy industry. Opening remarks were made by Veterans in Energy President Iliana Rentz.
One of the many highlights of the event was the ceremony for signing of the Statements of Support for the Guard and Reserve. Employers pledged: They fully recognize, honor and comply with the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA); They will provide our managers and supervisors with the tools they need to effectively manage those employees who serve in the Guard and Reserve; They appreciate the values, leadership and unique skills Service Members bring to the workforce and will encourage opportunities to employ Guardsmen, Reservists, transitioning Service Members and Veterans; and They will continually recognize and support our country’s Service Members and their families in peace, in crisis, and in war.
