With so much focus on the electric grid these days and what it can or can't handle during the energy transition, innovation stands front and center. That's why a company with an answer as to how to move the grid forward to meet present-day challenges is opening a second U.S. manufacturing facility.

TS Conductor's announcement ceremony was attended by South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster, further proof of the importance of advanced conductors, and at full capacity, the project will create four hundred sixty-two manufacturing jobs. TS plans to make major investments in local workforce development in partnership with local training companies.

Production is scheduled to begin by the end of 2025 to meet growing demand for the company's advanced conductor technology that enables utilities to double or triple transmission capacity, while cutting costs for customers.

TS Conductor CEO Jason Huang recently gave a TED talk about grid modernization. Also, the company's first manufacturing facility in California is expanding to help keep with demand. With so much going on, Huang made time to discuss recent events with PUF's Executive Editor Steve Mitnick.
