Accenture’s 33rd annual International Utilities and Energy Conference (IUEC) was held May 27-29 at the Conrad hotel in Washington, D.C., with senior industry executives in the energy and utilities sector, along with world-renowned industry authorities. The PUF team was there too.

While much was going on at the event, key industry thought leaders from the C-suite took time out from their busy schedules to speak with PUF Executive Editor Steve Mitnick. They gave unique perspectives on building an energy system for resilience, growth, affordability, and more.

You will learn much from these forward-looking conversations with Exelon CEO and EEI Chair Calvin Butler, Centrica CEO Chris O’Shea, and AVANGRID’s Central Maine Power CEO Joe Purington.

PUF’s Steve Mitnick: You’re the new Chair of the Edison Electric Institute. What do you think of the present and future of EEI?

Calvin Butler: EEI has always been a major player in shaping energy policy across the United States. I believe that this industry will transform more in the next ten years than it has in the last one hundred years, and what we do today matters more now than any other time.
