Demand Surging
In alternating years, Accenture’s International Utilities and Energy Conference is held in the U.S. and then in another nation.

This year’s was held in Washington, D.C. and featured onstage and in the audience many senior leaders of utilities and energy companies and governments from across the globe. Onstage panelists, for example, included the CEOs of Exelon, San Diego Gas & Electric, PPL Corporation, the U.K.’s Centrica and Octopus Energy, Greece’s PPC, EPRI, Entergy Texas, and Central Maine Power.
One theme throughout the three days of conference proceedings was the surge in demand for electric power and strategies to address it. Visit our Facebook gallery to see some pics of what the Public Utilities Fortnightly team saw there.
