This summer has marked a time of leadership transition at the Edison Electric Institute. At EEI 2025 held the first week of June in New Orleans, EEI interim President and CEO Pat Vincent-Collawn introduced Drew Maloney, who began as EEI President and CEO in July.

Pat Vincent-Collawn turned that EEI baton over to Drew Maloney as she readied to begin her new position as Executive Chair of TXNM Energy, the parent company of PNM and TNMP, effective July 1, 2025. She has more than thirty years of experience in the utility industry.

Here, Vincent-Collawn reflects on her time spent leading EEI, which she handled while also Chair and CEO of TXNM Energy. She served as a member of EEI’s Board of Directors since 2010, and was the first woman to serve as Chair, from June 2017 to June 2018.

PUF’s Steve Mitnick: What did you find most rewarding about serving as the interim CEO of the Edison Electric Institute?

Pat Vincent-Collawn: First, let me say what a professional honor and a personal privilege it was for me to serve as EEI’s interim President and CEO. I’m incredibly grateful for all of the support and grace that my CEO colleagues gave to me during my time at EEI, and I owe them a great deal for their help. I’m also grateful to have seen firsthand how committed the EEI team is to our members and our mission.
