Its workforce builds systems to power the U.S. Navy’s submarine and aircraft carrier fleet, restores the natural environment at government nuclear sites, supplies the components and fuel for clean energy to power homes and businesses, produces life-saving nuclear medicine, and is revolutionizing reactors and fuels.
As if that weren’t enough, BWXT recently began fabricating the reactor core for the Pele transportable microreactor for the Department of Defense at Idaho National Laboratory. Pele could become one of the first advanced reactors to operate in the United States as early as 2026.
