Pattern Energy Acquires a One-Third Interest in 270-MW K2 Wind Power Facility

Pattern Energy Group (Pattern Energy) closed the previously announced acquisition of a one-third interest in the 270-MW K2 Wind Power Facility in Ontario from Pattern Energy Group LP (Pattern Development). Pattern Energy will hold a 33% equity interest in the facility, which is equally co-owned by Samsung Renewable Energy and Capital Power.

ONEOK Partners completed its acquisition of assets from Chevron affiliates for about $800 million; Dominion Resources agreed to purchase Carolina Gas Transmission from SCANA Corp. for about $492.9 million; Entergy subsidiaries acquired the Union Power Station for $948 million; ALLETE Clean Energy acquired a 108-MW wind generation facility; Duke Energy Renewables acquired the Halifax Solar Power Project from Geenex and ET Solar Energy; Pattern Energy Group acquired the 200-MW Logan’s Gap Wind project in Texas for about $113 million; An affiliate of Starwood Energy Group Global agreed to acquire a 369-MW portfolio of three natural gas facilities from Lakeside Energy; NextEra Energy and Hawaiian Electric Industries agreed to combine.

 

 

 

Pattern Development Signs Agreement to Develop Largest First Nation Wind Project in Canada

Pattern Energy Group (Pattern Development) entered into a joint venture partnership with Henvey Inlet First Nation to jointly develop, own and operate the 300-MW Henvey Inlet Wind project to be built in Parry Sound District, Ontario. Pattern Development will own a 50% joint venture interest in the 300-MW project, which has a 20-year PPA with the Ontario Power Authority (OPA) for 100% of its expected production.
