SunEdison Signs Definitive Agreement to Acquire GME from Actis and Mesoamerica Power

SunEdison signed a definitive agreement to acquire 100 percent of Globeleq Mesoamerica Energy (GME), Central America's leading renewable energy company. SunEdison will acquire a 70 percent interest in GME from Actis, a market private equity investor focused on the energy sector, and a 30 percent interest from Mesoamerica Power Limited.

Canadian Solar Completes the Sale of Good Light Solar Power Plant to BluEarth

Canadian Solar Solutions completed the sale of Good Light, a 10-MW solar power plant located in the town of Kawartha Lakes, Ontario, Canada, valued at over $60.3 million (USD) to a BluEarth Renewables subsidiary. This is the second of four planned solar projects being acquired by BluEarth from Canadian Solar, totaling 38.5 MW AC.

Recurrent Energy Awarded 150 MW Utility-Scale Solar Contract by Austin Energy for Texas Solar Projects

Recurrent Energy won an award from Austin Energy for 150 MW of solar capacity in West Texas. The power will be delivered to Austin Energy pursuant to a 20-year PPA. The 150-MW solar facility will be completed in 2016 and will be Texas’ largest single solar power plant.
