SunEdison signed a definitive agreement with Dominion, establishing a joint venture for Four Brothers, a 420-MW DC, or 320-MW AC, solar project in Utah, developed by SunEdison. The project is now under construction and fully financed with an expected commercial operation date of mid-2016. The Four Brothers project is contracted under long-term PPAs for 20 years with PacifiCorp.
sPower acquired its first wind project, a 62.1-MW facility in Monticello, Utah. The project is scheduled to begin construction this summer and should start generating clean energy at the end of 2015. The project has a 20-year PPA with PacifiCorp, which does business as Rocky Mountain Power in Utah.
SunEdison signed agreements to construct and install three new utility-scale solar power plants in southern Utah with a total capacity of 262 MW. PacifiCorp will purchase the electricity through three 20-year PPA according to its obligation under the federal Public Utilities Regulatory Policies Act. The three solar power plants are located in Iron County in southern Utah, and include the 63-MW Granite Mountain Solar West plant, the 100-MW Granite Mountain Solar East plant and the 99-MW Iron Springs Solar plant.

juwi solar (JSI) sold the ownership interests in a 50-MW solar energy facility to Dominion. The project was fully developed by JSI and has a 20-year PPA with PacifiCorp. Currently named “Pavant Solar,” the project will be located in Millard County, Utah on approximately 419 acres of private ranchlands that have been leased to the project. JSI is the EPC contractor for the project and will operate the project for Dominion upon completion.

Boart Longyear was awarded a contract for drilling services at the Magnum NGLs (natural gas liquids) Storage Project at central Utah's Western Energy Hub. Magnum is building the first underground salt cavern NGLs storage facility in the Rocky Mountain region at the site. Development will include the construction of solution-mined storage caverns in a salt dome approximately 3,000 feet below the natural surface. Initially, the facility will feature two caverns each capable of storing between 1 and 2 million barrels of NGLs such as propane and butane.
First Wind finalized four 20-year PPAs with Rocky Mountain Power, a division of PacifiCorp and part of Berkshire Hathaway Energy. As part of the PPAs, Rocky Mountain Power will buy the output of the planned 320-MW Four Brothers solar development, which includes four, separate fully permitted 80-MW project sites. First Wind finalized seven 20-year PPAs with Rocky Mountain Power, a division of PacifiCorp. As part of the purchase agreements, Rocky Mountain Power will buy the output of the planned 20-MW Seven Sisters projects under its obligation from the federal Public Utility Regulatory Policies Act, or PURPA. The Seven Sisters portfolio includes seven separate solar photovoltaic projects, four of which are to be sited in Beaver County and three to be located in Iron County, Utah.
