NARUC’s Annual Meeting in New Orleans portends the changing of the guard. The meeting will mark the beginning of the third and last year of the three-year theme of Connecting the Dots: Innovative/Disruptive Technology and Regulation. NARUC President Judith Jagdmann, also a Commissioner at the Virginia State Corporation Commission, will pass the title of President on to NARUC First Vice President Michael Caron, also a Commissioner at the Connecticut Public Utilities Regulatory Authority.

The Large Public Power Council and S&P Global Ratings held the 2022 Public Power Community Conference in New York City, featuring panel discussions with CEOs from LPPC utilities and members of the financial community who shared perspectives on issues facing public power.

One roundtable with NYPA CEO Justin Driscoll, Seattle City Light CEO Debra Smith, JEA CEO Jay Stowe, Grant PUD CEO Rich Wallen, A second roundtable with LPPC President John Di Stasio, LIPA CEO Tom Falcone, GRDA CEO Dan Sullivan.

PPL Electric Utilities wins the President’s Award. The Achievement Awards go to PPL Electric Utilities, Florida Power & Light in two different areas, Con Edison, Southern California Edison, and Eversource.

AEIC is celebrating its achievements this October at the 138th annual meeting of AEIC’s members in Scottsdale, Arizona. With unprecedented legislative and technological challenges coming, AEIC believes in working together to address the industry’s greatest operational needs.
