There were slick electric cars. And beautiful electric buses — quiet, clean, cheap to maintain. Chargers galore, including one that literally motors itself from car to car. Electric ovens and electric tools that make the competition seem like fossils. Energy storage cold and hot. Salad greens grown in perfect light, in shipping containers no less. The massive exhibition hall at Electrification 2018 was part theme park and part journey to the future. Except, that future is apparently happening now. Here, Public Utilities Fortnightly talked with some of the vendors there.
