After sitting in on a pre-hearing conference of the Hawaii PUC, to set the rules of the road for a proceeding about the siting of a renewable facility, the PUF team was fortunate to meet Dean Nishina, executive director, division of consumer advocacy for the Aloha State. Of course, we asked if we could interview him too, as a part of our Hawaii-themed suite of interviews, and he happily agreed. As did Chris Lee, a member of the state's legislature who has been active on energy issues.
