SunEdison to Sell 333 MW of Wind to Terra Nova Renewable Partners

SunEdison agreed to sell 333 MW of wind-power assets to Terra Nova Renewable Partners for $209 million. The two acquired projects are the 185-MW Bingham wind farm and 148-MW Oakfield wind farm, both located in Maine. Construction on Oakfield Wind was completed fall 2015 and it is now online and operating as the largest wind project in New England.

Invenergy Completes Sale of 832 MW of Wind Power to TerraForm Power

Invenergy Wind sold 832 MW of wind power plants to TerraForm Power. A final closing for an additional 98 MW of projects is scheduled to be completed in early 2016. The total enterprise value of the transaction is more than $2 billion. The closing encompasses four power plants, representing 754 MW in the United States and one 78 MW project in Canada.

Calpine to Purchase Granite Ridge Energy Center in New Hampshire

Calpine acquired the Granite Ridge Energy Center from Granite Ridge Holdings for $500 million, subject to working capital adjustments. The 745-MW, combined-cycle, gas-fired power plant is located in Londonderry, New Hampshire. The power plant, which commenced commercial operation in 2003, features two Siemens 501G combustion turbines, two heat recovery steam generators and one steam turbine. Calpine expects the transaction to close by the first quarter of 2016.

TerraForm Power and SunEdison Acquire 930-MW Contracted Wind Portfolio from Invenergy

TerraForm Power signed a definitive agreement to acquire net ownership of 930-MW of wind power plants from Invenergy Wind (Invenergy). TerraForm Power intends to acquire net ownership of 460 MW of the wind power plants from Invenergy with the remaining 470 MW to be acquired by a new warehouse facility, for a combined $2.0 billion in aggregate consideration. Invenergy will retain a 9.9 percent stake in the U.S. assets and will provide certain operation and maintenance services for these power plants.

Wisconsin Energy Completes Acquisition of Integrys to Form WEC Energy Group

Wisconsin Energy completed the acquisition of Integrys Energy - forming the WEC Energy Group. The new company will provide electricity and natural gas to 4.4 million customers across four states through its customer facing brands - We Energies, Wisconsin Public Service, Peoples Gas, North Shore Gas, Michigan Gas Utilities, and Minnesota Energy Resources.

sPower Purchases Inaugural Wind Project, 62.1-MW in Southeastern Utah

sPower acquired its first wind project, a 62.1-MW facility in Monticello, Utah. The project is scheduled to begin construction this summer and should start generating clean energy at the end of 2015. The project has a 20-year PPA with PacifiCorp, which does business as Rocky Mountain Power in Utah.

Pattern Energy Acquires a One-Third Interest in 270-MW K2 Wind Power Facility

Pattern Energy Group (Pattern Energy) closed the previously announced acquisition of a one-third interest in the 270-MW K2 Wind Power Facility in Ontario from Pattern Energy Group LP (Pattern Development). Pattern Energy will hold a 33% equity interest in the facility, which is equally co-owned by Samsung Renewable Energy and Capital Power.

SunEdison Signs Definitive Agreement to Acquire GME from Actis and Mesoamerica Power

SunEdison signed a definitive agreement to acquire 100 percent of Globeleq Mesoamerica Energy (GME), Central America's leading renewable energy company. SunEdison will acquire a 70 percent interest in GME from Actis, a market private equity investor focused on the energy sector, and a 30 percent interest from Mesoamerica Power Limited.
