Commissioner Curt Hébert Jr. of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission has been named the 2000 Bonbright Honoree by the Bonbright Center for the Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia. The mission of the Bonbright Center is to further the understanding of the principles of regulatory economics, particularly as applied to the energy industries.

Joseph K. Conner Jr. has been appointed CFO for the North American Electric Reliability Council. Previously, Conner was group controller at United Refrigeration in Philadelphia.

Yankee Energy System Inc. has named William Lee Cranford Jr. its new controller. Cranford joined the company from Northeast Utilities System, parent company of Yankee, where he had held various accounting positions since 1973.

Consumers Energy has named Susan C. Swan executive manager of electric services at its electric business unit. Swan joined Consumers Energy in 1979, and most recently was electric field manager for three of the utility's service centers.

The Rocky Mountain Electrical League has presented its Distinguished Leadership Award to Wayne Brunetti, president and CEO of Xcel Energy Inc. The award honors individuals that have demonstrated dedication, service, and leadership in the electric industry.
