Diane Fitzgerald has been appointed vice president of environmental affairs for American Electric Power. She served as director of international environmental affairs since May. She joined AEP in 1984 as a senior performance engineer at the Donald C. Cook Nuclear Plant.

Altra Energy Technologies announced that William Weathersby has been named senior vice president of professional services. Prior to joining Altra, Weathersby was president of CommonVision, LLC, a company he founded.

John M. McLaughlin, Jr. has been named vice president for corporate planning for CMS Energy Corp. Previously, McLaughlin was vice president of development for The Americas, Southern Hemisphere. He joined Consumers Energy in 1984.

The DTE Energy board of directors elected Nick A. Kouri vice president and treasurer for both Detroit Edison and its parent company, DTE Energy. He joined DTE Energy and Detroit Edison in 1999 as manager, finance; and assistant treasurer. The board also elected Daniel G. Brudzynski vice president and controller, also for both Detroit Edison and its parent company, DTE Energy. Brudzynski joined the companies in 1997 as assistant controller. Detroit Edison has named Thomas J. Tanciar as plant manager of the Trenton Channel Power Plant in Trenton, MI. Tanciar joined Detroit Edison in 1982 as an engineer.
