Avista Corp. announced that , vice president of external relations, has concluded a nearly 30-year career with the company. Fukai said he plans to pursue opportunities in public service or the private sector. Fukai joined the company in 1972 as a general accountant.

The ANSI Meritorious Service Awards are given to individuals in recognition of their "record of significant contribution to voluntary standardization and outstanding service in enabling the American National Standards Institute to attain the objectives for which it was founded."
