The shale gas revolution occurring today in the United States has lit a fuse under the domestic economy, changing not only the fuel mix for electric generation, but also giving manufacturers and chemical makers an inexpensive feedstock to create their products.
But more than that, as Fortnightly has learned from recent discussions with numerous energy industry executives, the revolution now appears poised to spread around the world - especially in emerging markets in Asia, South America, the Middle East, and Africa.
