Gas Natural Inc. Agrees to Sell its Kentucky Utility Operations
Submitted by aburr on Tue, 2015-08-18 16:59Gas Natural Inc.’s wholly owned subsidiary, Public Gas Company, signed a definitive agreement to sell all of its assets used in the operation of its Kentucky utility business to Kentucky Frontier Gas for $1.9 million in cash. The closing is subject to customary closing conditions, as well as regulatory approvals. Public Gas Company, a Kentucky corporation, annually distributes 147.4 million cubic feet within seven counties in eastern Kentucky.

Fleming-Mason Energy Deploys Tantalus for AMI Communications Network
Submitted by aburr on Wed, 2014-03-12 12:49Fleming-Mason Energy (FME) selected Tantalus for the design and implementation of an AMI communications network in northeastern Kentucky. FME will also leverage TUNet - the Tantalus Utility Network - to support a wide range of integrated applications. FME is utilizing TUNet's hybrid RF mesh architecture which leverages an ultra-long range 220 MHz WAN backhaul in combination with a terrain hugging 900 MHz LAN. FME is also leveraging the use of remote disconnect/reconnect meters to assist in streamlining collections and improving customer service.
