SCANA Corp. promoted William B. Timmerman, president, to COO. John L. Skolds, senior v.p. of generation at SCANA subsidiary South Carolina Electric & Gas, became president and COO. Skolds replaces Bruce D. Kenyon, who left the company to become president of Northeast Nuclear Energy Co.

James T. Egler was promoted from president of Equitable Resources Inc.'s marketing division to CEO of Equitable Gas Co., a regulated subsidiary.

Transcontinental Gas Pipe Line Corp. promoted Bob Bahnick to v.p., operations & engineering. He moves up from operating & project services director.

Stuart W. Temple was hired as business development v.p. for The Energy Network, Inc., a new unregulated subsidiary of Connecticut Natural Gas Corp.

Union Electric Co. named Edward J. Sampson stores department manager. He replaces Walter Caesar, who retired.

Deborah K. Flannagan, a former executive director of the Connecticut Department of Public Utility Control, was hired as executive director of the Georgia Public Service Commission. Flannagan also has worked at the Florida Public Service Commission.
