SCADA

Who Are You Guys?

I asked ACS.

ACS, Advanced Control Systems, a high-tech company based in Atlanta, is a go-to, real-time energy management solution provider of the highest quality innovative products.

Got Green? Then Get Smart.

Why it’s the growth of renewable resources that makes the most compelling case for a smarter grid.

To manage the new instability, inherent in many renewable resources, it becomes necessary to introduce more intelligence and automation. That’s what makes the smart grid so compelling.

Siemens to Modernize Power Distribution Grids in Five Cities in North India

Siemens is modernizing the power distribution grids of the cities of Amritsar, Jallandhar, Ludhiana, Dehradun, and Faridabad in northern India. As part of the modernization, Siemens will implement its Spectrum Power network control system and equip the grid with SCADA/DMS functions for monitoring and control. The customers are three utility companies, Punjab State Power Corporation, Uttarakhand Power Corporation, and Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam. The order volume amounts to a total of approximately 11 million.

Locus Energy Chosen as Exclusive Solar Monitoring Provider for Swinerton Renewable Energy

Swinerton Renewable Energy will standardize its entire solar fleet on Locus Energy's SolarNOC monitoring platform and PVIQ analytics suite as part of its SOLV enterprise solution for optimizing and managing plant Swinerton Renewable Energys. By leveraging Locus Energy's web-based SolarNOC software, Swinerton's fleet operators will be able to more efficiently organize and assess performance data over a set of solar PV assets spread across a geographical area, as well as streamline O&M workflows.

Why Outage Management Must Change

Smart grid advancements call for a new approach to restoration.

The next-generation smart grid system must perform SCADA, DMS, and OMS functions using a single, common representation of the distribution network.

Toward a 21st Century Grid

Producing value with advanced distribution management systems.

Changing demands from regulators, customers, and shareholders are driving utilities toward better operational technologies to manage an increasingly complex grid. Advanced distribution management systems (ADMS) promise nearly real-time operational insight for maintaining reliability, safety, and security.

Modernization Foundation

Near-term vision for advanced distribution management.

Recent superstorms and other major events have raised the bar for utility reliability and grid planning. By bringing together various advanced systems in an integrated distribution management platform, utilities can make power systems more resilient – and provide better service for customers.

Utility 2.0 and the Dynamic Microgrid

Superstorm disruption calls for a new utility architecture.

When microgrids are optimized in a smart grid, they’ll usher in a new era of utility resilience and flexibility. Get ready for dynamic microgrids.
